What I Wore Wednesday

It's Wednesday and I am linking up with Lindsay at The Pleated Poppy. This is where I post a few of my outfits for the week to hold myself accountable and to get dressed each day. I also love being able to look back for some inspiration on what to wear. It's a great journal. It's a way to see the hits and the misses. Sometimes I don't realize they are misses until months after.

I kind of actually love this look. It could not have been more comfortable. A little "fall-ish" for this time of year but, hey, it's cool here so I went for it. The boots are a bit heavy but they are new, super comfortable, not to mention warm!
Sweater - JCrew
Dress - Target
Jeans - TJ Maxx Hilfiger
Boots - Payless

Here is my inspiration from Pinterest for the above look.

Running errands
Shirt - Target
Stripe Tee - Target
Skinny Jeans - TJ Maxx Hilfiger
Shoes - had forever

West Elm Favorites

January is such a terrible mail month. I love December and the months leading up to it with all of the great catalogs and magazines, and not to mention Christmas cards that come. January, it's just bills it seems. Nothing exciting. However, the springs catalogs are starting to come in. I love the latest from West Elm! It just happens to be one of my favorite home decor stores.

Here are a few of my favorites

Love those red hearts.

In other news to report today. With January comes organizing and purging. I am hitting every room. Our garage looks like something out of hoarders. No, not really that bad. But, we have lots of bins that need to be taken to our local charity. Clothes, christmas decorations that we don't use any longer, toys, household items. You name it. Today I even cleaned out and got rid of some of my littles things. I just couldn't fit one more thing in to her close.

Do you find that you clean and organize more in January?

Hello Monday

Happy Monday! Happy Martin Luther King Day!

I don't have much to share from my weekend. No pictures at least. We had a quiet weekend spent at home. It was my husbands birthday, he shares his birthday with Martin Luther King. We went to dinner on Saturday night and then my little and I baked him a yummy cake for his birthday. Very low key as he is prepping for a new job. Lots of studying and training, we saw little of him. I can't wait until his training is over. Only a few months, but a small price to pay for this new opportunity for him.

It was cold here this weekend too. At least for me. We woke up to 30's on Saturday and not much warmer on Sunday. Cool days. Though great for burning the fire place, warm tea, hot cocoa and yummy soups and stews.

I did find some time for baking and I baked and decorated some yummy valentines cookies. Its time to start thinking about Valentines Day now that it is less than a month away. Right!

I think it's time for some Valentines inspired posts.

Just a little bit
Have a great day!

It's Friday and Pottery Barn Shower Curtain

Hello Friday! Boy, have I been waiting for you.

I am so ready for the weekend. I'm looking forward to some down time and hanging out with my little love. Looking forward to bike rides and walking my pup. Looking forward to slowly drinking a hot cup of coffee on a cold morning. Looking forward to celebrating my hubby's birthday.

I'm also looking forward to some internet shopping and this is one thing on my list....

I love this shower curtain from Pottery Barn> It's the perfect look for our guest bathroom. I wouldn't normally spend this much on a shower curtain but it is perfect. I have been looking and looking for another one and I have come up short. I think that this one might be worth the splurge. When you find some thing you love you just sometimes have to go for it. And, it's not super pricey, really.

I hope you have a great weekend.

What I Wore Wednesday

It's Wednesday and that means that I am linking up with Lindsay at the Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday. I'M BACK!!! I have two looks to share this week. I love low key dressing that doesn't take much thought. These outfits are just that. The holidays had me in my super comfy jeans and tees, but I vow to get back on board and try a little harder.

Top - Old Navy
Tank - Target
Jeans - Target
Sandals - Target
I wasn't sure about this t-shirt after I bought it six months ago, but I put it on and really like how it looks.

Cute outfit, terrible picture.
Dress - Ann Taylor Loft
Cardigan - Gap
Riding Boots - Dillard's (old)
Necklace - Simple Livly

I love the dress and boots look. I hope I am able to wear this look for a little while longer though you never know here in Florida.

In other random Wednesday news. I am so glad to have things back to normal. I thought by now my energy would be back. It's NOT. I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and she gave me some diet recommendations. I am trying to ear super healthy this year. I've vowed to give up sugar. Ok, it hasn't worked completely, but I have not eaten much. But, for energy, I am making a super healthy smoothie. Super simple too. I take half an apple, half a banana, and a hand full of kale (it's supposed to be some kind of super food), and blend it together with a little bit of water and ice. Aside from the green look, though it's a bright, pretty, green, it tastes just like a banana. Along with a B12 vitamins and eating healthy meals I am hoping to turn back the clock and get my zip back.

Happy New Year

Hello there. Hello 2012.

I hadn't planned on taking such a long break. It has been hectic getting back in the routine of things. We traveled until January the 2nd so we were a bit behind in getting life back to normal. The tree had to come down, unpacking and laundry to be done, getting the little back to school, and the house back to normal. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.

This last year went by so fast. Here are some highlights.

Bought a fire pit and made lots of S'mores

Nursed hubby through Hip Replacement Therapy

Spring Break weekend at Disney World

My daughter graduated from Kindergarten

Grew my baking business and was featured in a photo shoot

Spent lots of quality beach time

Took a photography workshop

Some other high lights and low lights

My house was "slightly" flooded due to a malfunctioning washing machine
Watched my daughter turn another year older with a candy themed birthday party
Spent lots of time at the beach
Had a great family vacation on Hilton Head Island
Watched the last shuttle launch
My daughter lost her two front teeth

I am definitely starting the year with that and some other GOALS.

No more texting or talking on the phone while driving

Learn to play tennis

Stop spending

Exercise

Stay in better touch with my mom

Less over-thinking

Happy New Year!
