What I Wore Wednesday

I finished my Christmas Shopping today. I think, yep, completely done! Yay! That feels good. Now it is time to really enjoy the holidays. I'm so glad that I got it done early this year. My little ones last day before Christmas break is tomorrow and now we have a whole week of just fun.

I am in the last push for my holiday baking orders. I am planning on taking the week before Christmas off and am only planning on baking for the family.

This is what I started the day wearing. It got a bit warm so I lost the scarf.

Christmas Blues

Not those "blues". Christmas birthdays blues. Have you finished your shopping? I am so close. I got started really early this year and only have a few gifts here and there to pick up. It's a good feeling.

Here are some cute ideas that would be great for those in your life that have December birthdays or they would be great for anyone on your Christmas list.

Swiss Blue Topaz Stacking Ring
Janey's Jewels

Anthropologie

Shelly 6262 Scarves

Dvora Schleffer

Blue is quickly becoming one of my favorite colors and all of these items are really quite pretty, and pretty shades of blue too.
That scarf and the stackable rings are my two favorites on this list. I love the scarf and just received one in hot pink as a Christmas gift from my MIL. I wish I would have thought about blue. Too pretty.

Scenes from the weekend

We had a crazy busy weekend here. Lots of fun activities and festive events. I loved every minute of it but I'm now ready for a little bit of quiet family time. Only three more days of school to go. We have a few more planned activities and then it's time for watching movies, making crafts, baking for family and friends, and last minute shopping (I only have a few more gifts to buy). I can't wait!

What I Wore Wednesday

I am linking up with Lindsay at The Pleated Poppy this week. I have not been able to participate in WIWW for a few weeks. Things have been busy with my baking business and I have been wearing mostly jeans and tees. No sense in getting dressed up any more when I will be covered in either flour or sugar. This day, however, we had family pictures taken and this is what I wore. I hope to share a few pictures when I get them. I was lucky enough to win a free photo shoot from a fabulous local photographer and I can't wait to see the results. I hope they are good, I want to use one for our Christmas card.

I am taking my picture on this chair in my daughters bathroom because the other room is filled with my Christmas mess, wrapping station on the bed, decorations to be put out, things laying around and going it was going to show up in the picture. Must keep the illusion of a tidy home :).

It's not a great picture but I am happy to be participating in WIWW.

I love this dress from Anthropologie and luckily enough it was cool enough for the boots and it's even going to get cooler starting tonight. I am so ready for some weather that is a bit more Christmas-y!

Have a great day.

Gingerbread Sailors and Mermaids

Love these Gingerbread men cookies. Go here for recipe. What a fun take on a gingerbread man cookie. I am going to have to make these.

I am doing a lot of baking right now but will have to add these in for some personal baking fun. These are too cute and will go great with our Coastal Christmas theme.

Have a great day.

The Holidays are On

It's Friday. Whew. It's been a long week. With travels, baking orders, school field trips, and activities. I am ready for a busy weekend.

The holidays are on. We are having breakfast with Santa tomorrow morning, Going to watch our towns annual parade tomorrow night and on Sunday we are going to visit the Christmas Tree farm where we go on hay rides, pet animals, roast hot dogs and marshmallows, ride horses, and oh yeah, pick out a tree. Hopefully with all of that we will be able to hang lights and put up our tree. Sounds like a lot but I am ready to push through.

It doesn't seem to stop during the season with parties, activities, and events, Christmas day will be here before I know it. We have an Ice Skating event, Two Christmas Parties, a Neighborhood Christmas Festival, Christmas Open House in our town, A home party tonight - at home, A Winter Program at school, A trip to Disney to see the decorations, and a tour around town to see Christmas Lights. I can't seem to cut anything out. We have created great traditions and I love them all.

I plan to soak up as much in as I can, I hope to relax some, and enjoy the magic and spirit of the season.

Here are a few pictures for some holiday decor inspiration.

I love the earthy, natural, look of these rooms. Perfect for my decorating style.
