What I Wore Wednesday

I am linking up today with Lindsay at The Pleated Poppy blog for What I Wore Wednesday where I post outfits that I have worn throughout the week. A Classic Look For Fall

In lieu of What I Wore Wednesday, I decided to post this picture of a look I love.

Very classic striped shirt, trench coat, jeans, and wellies. It's a cute look and great for fall.

Though it's not the rainy season in Florida, who knows I might get to wear my rain boots.

And I love that rust color flower. Just a small touch of the in color for the season.

I'm starting to substitute this morning at a local pre-school. I'm looking forward to a fun day :)!

Have a great Hump day!

What I Wore Wednesday

Hi. It's Wednesday and that time again for What I Wore Wednesday with Lindsay at The Pleated Poppy. If you are new to my blog, each Wednesday I post a picture, or two, of the outfits that I have worn through out the week. It helps to keep me accountable with how I dress so that I am not spending my days in sweat pants or shorts and tanks.

Sometimes it's a bit of a challenge, those sweat pants are so darn comfortable, but as I am usually running around I like to put a little bit of effort into what I am wearing.

Here are a few looks for this week.

Birthday dinner
Dress and Purse - local boutique at a 50% off sale
Shoes - Old Navy

Church
Top - Anthropologie
Pants - TJ Maxx (old)
Sandals - Old Navy

Volunteering at school
Top - JCrew (ages old)
Jeans - TJ Maxx
Shoes - Gap (last year)

I am still waiting for cooler weather. Can't wait to add some layers and bring out some new things to wear.

Have a great day.

Missoni for Target Launched Today

Did you make it to Target today for the new Missoni line? Well, if you haven't, don't bother to go. Most stores are sold out. Yes SOLD OUT!!!

Ok. I think I have to admit that I am a Target-a-holic.

So, I went this morning to our local Target to look at the line. I didn't really know what I thought of it. I didn't really like the line in the commercials and felt that the patterns were a bit too busy. But, as things happen, kind of like at Disney, I got caught up. It's prettier in person. I wouldn't go head to toe Missoni, but a cute pair of flats with jeans and a white tee works for me.

Anyhow, when I got to our local Target the racks were looking a bit empty. There was, maybe, one to two items of each thing left. I picked up a sweater in my size, the last one, and thought I would just hang on to it while I shopped.

As I walked down a bit I saw these two shopping carts full of Missoni merchandise with a Target employee standing next to it. I also noticed a customer shopping in the vicinity. I asked the employee if she was putting the merchandising out, thinking that would explain the empty racks "they just hadn't gotten everything put out yet", but, oh no, the other customer was buying the two shopping carts full of merchandise.

So here is what I came away with
A dress, sweater, and shoes for me.
A tunic, skirt, and socks for my little lady.
And two mugs.
Birthday money!

When I got home today I just wanted to take a look see on Ebay to see what was up. The items are already being listed and for more than double what I paid. What is going on? If I decide the pattern is too much for me I think I can at least make a profit by selling on Ebay. Part of me even wishes that I had bought more just so that I could sell it.

I also did a Google search for "Missoni for Target" and found that the Target server crashed this morning due to the demand of shoppers and that stores across the country sold out by 9am. What a rude awakening for those that were going to go shopping on their lunch break!

It was fun today but how crazy!!

Spring at Anthropologie

Welcome March! You bring us that much closer to Spring!

I LOVE these new pieces from Anthropologie. Oh do I love this store!!!!! It's always so refreshing when I am looking through their website and especially when I can get to their store (it's about an hour away). My heart goes pitter patter at all of the different fabrics, the colors, the flow-y cuts of dresses and tops. So fresh and girly.

I especially love these strapless dresses right now. Classic and pretty. They are pieces that can be worn for many years to come.

I adore these two tunics. I have a real fondness for stripes and would love to have this. I think both would be super cute paired with these cute shorts.

Love these sandals. Love them with any of these outfits. Love them with anything.

These earrings are perfect for any of the outfits and would be a great compliment.

And....this headband. Sweet! Just love it.

I usually look for inspiration at Anthropologie and J Crew! My two favorite stores. I don't do a lot of buying though. A piece here and there a couple of times a year unless I hit the clearance section.

What about you? Where do you look for inspiration and where do you shop?

So here are my looks for the week. I would love to dress up more, but when you are just dropping off at school and running errands, I don't have the motivation. I guess one of the great benefits with staying and working at home is that you have the benefit of being comfy. I am a casual person at heart, but love getting dressed up when I have an occasion.

Have a great day! Only two more days to Halloween Weekend! Can't wait.

Misha Lulu

Hi. I know it's Tuesday but I hope everyone had a great weekend. I did, but, I'm exhausted. I spent the day yesterday running around and doing errands that I didn't do over the weekend. We had beautiful weather and spent a lot of time outside. This time of year is the reason I live in Florida. It's supposed to even be "cool" for Halloween. Yahoo! Now, for us, cool is in the 60's. It will be the first in many years. We have lots of fun activities planned for the halloween weekend so I am happy with the weather report.

Well, now that Halloween is almost over I have moved, mentally, towards the holidays. I was on line yesterday searching for holiday outfits for my little one. I found this cute kids line while searching and think it's adorable, Misha Lulu. Very sweet, simple, fun and girly, but not too much. It has a crafted look too which I think is perfect.

All the looks are really cute and aren't these little girls too dang cute! I love the blue and white, vertical, striped dress for Thanksgiving or maybe even Christmas. I think it would be nice for a non-traditional look.

The line can be purchased on-line at Mishalulu.com (or click on the link above to take you to their site) as well as in local kids boutiques and they also have a really great blog. Take a look at their site to find where shopping would be best for you.

Have a great day!
