I put these cupcakes together for an Easter Egg Decorating party. I think they turned out pretty cute.










I think my favorite is the white bunny, very simple and sweet!

Sweet Sentiment

I love these two necklaces.

The first one was a special gift from my hubby! Such a sweet sentiment. It says "My dear Leslie" on one side and "you are loved" on the other side. I love wearing it and holding him close to my heart.


This one is by Lisa Leonard Designs. She has beautiful jewelry.

And he bought me this one the weekend we went to St. Augustine at a great little boutique I will blog about soon.



This one says "I believe in me" on one side and "I believe in us" on the other side.


I am a pretty lucky lady!

Beautiful interiors from Abode Love Blog

Welcome to Monday. Sad to see it arrive. I had a great weekend with the family. We hit the beach on Saturday to battle the, already, soaring heat. It hit the mid 90's here. Oh my goodness, where did spring go.

I am looking for a new project. I love the look of the stripes on this entry. I would love to do this in my daughters room. One day. When we upgrade her room to a bigger girl room this is in the plans (I think, sometimes my hubby doesn't buy in to my ideas). Or it would look great in her bathroom. Take a look at this beautiful home Abode Love blogger, Laurel.











My favorites are the grey and white stripes with the gallery pictures, I love the golden rod stripe curtains in the living room and that weathered cabinet. I would love to create that look for this cabinet in my home.

Hmmm, maybe that's my new project. We just moved it to this wall. I thought it would make the room feel furniture "heavy", but now I want to keep it and I think this look would be perfect. Now I am on the hunt for the large clam shell for the top to replace the small piece of driftwood.

Hello Friday

Hello Friday! What a wonderful site. Friday! How about you are you excited for the weekend? The weather is going to be beautiful here and I can't wait to head out with my family to enjoy all of it's splendor.

Speaking of enjoy....I wanted to share some of my favorite finds from one of my favorite stores, West Elm. I am loving their spring looks. Look at what I love...



I will keep an eye on this, it would be a perfect coastal look for our bedroom.


And I love these shams to go with it. A great way to add texture and interest to the room.

I love these bottles. I love the colors and the rustic vintage vibe they have. If you like these and have time to "flea" market shop, you can find some great ones like

that I have found at yard sales and flea markets. I love them!



These little tea lite lanterns look great on a dining table.



I adore these vases. I love the crisp white and the patterned cut outs. I think they would look great on a mantel.



You can't go wrong with great white candle sticks.





Round mirrors are great and so versatile. This mirror would look great hanging over a mantel, in an entry way or in a bathroom in tandem over a double sink vanity.






And the linens and kitchen ware. I love all of these and have them on my wish list to finalize the coastal vintage theme I want for our dining and kitchen. The color of the bowls is the right amount and the turquoise color of the measuring cups is my favorite beach-y color. And, of course, I love all things stripe. You just can't go wrong.

Fortunately I live fairly close to the coast so this look works for me year round. Thank goodness!

Scenes from the weekend...

Hello Monday!

We had a terrific weekend of fabulous weather and we really did all that we could to enjoy it.

On Saturday we took a little road trip to visit the Oldest City in America, St. Augustine Florida. We had a great day and here are some highlights of the city.

Casillo de San Marcos
...was built to protect and defend Spain's claim on the New Worlds....it was never defeated. It's scarred walls still stand witness to over 330 years of history and culture. (via nps.gov)




We had lunch here at the White Lion....perfect view of the Casillo de San Marcos








The Columbia is a world renowned restaurant...


The Historic Ponce de Leon Hotel is now home to Flagler College






Lightner Museum is housed in the former Alcazar Hotel, built in spanish style by Henry Flagler in 1888

Trinity Parish Church, Established in 1821, is the oldest Protestant church in Florida




I'm not sure of these last two pictures, they are named but I failed to take note. They are pretty none the less.


I hope you enjoyed this bit of history of our nation. It's a beautiful town, lots to do and see and great shopping. I'll post more about the shopping in another post.
