Halloween Fun

Happy Friday and Happy Halloween Weekend.

Lots of fun activities this weekend.

I'm giddy with excitement.

Love this time of year.

Here are a few fun pictures, a few easy ideas, and a pretty party table scape.

How do you spend Halloween?

It will be a simple weekend for us, pumpkin carving, a festive Oktoberfest, a get together with friends, then Halloween night we trick or treat in our neighborhood with all of our neighborhood friends and about a thousand visiting trick or treaters. It's really a lot of fun to see all those littles dressed in their costumes.

I hope yours is great!

What I Wore Wednesday

It's Wednesday and that means that I am linking up with Lindsay at the Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday.

Now this isn't to try to be showy with my clothes, I am a frugal shopper and most things I wear are bought on clearance and probably at my favorite stores Target and TJ Maxx. I have a few fun clearance splurges from Anthropologie and some other places here or there. My point is, fashion doesn't have to be expensive. You can pull fun looks together with out having to spend a lot.

I like linking up because it keeps me accountable and helps me to look my best while being a stay at home mom. Plus, I have an at home business and the best that I can present myself I think people will take my business seriously.

Well, it finally cooled off here last week which was very exciting. I pulled out the boots and wore them every chance that I could get.

Church ( not a great picture the dress looks like it's fitting me funny. It needs a structured belt I think)
Dress - Target - Last year
Cardi - Old Navy
Boots - Had for years

Running errands
Cardi - Target
Tee- Target
Skinny Jeans - TJ Maxx - Hilfiger
Boots - Flea Market - these are vintage country boots that I love and were only $15.00

Sugarland Concert
Dress - TJ Maxx
Boots - same as above

Friday - recovery day after the concert
Sweater - H & M
Tank - Target
Jeans - Target
Tennies - Walmart

Have a great Wednesday. The weekend is almost here!

Anthropologie Jewelry

Happy Tuesday!

Ok, so maybe this post is more about me doing some early christmas shopping for myself. Is that such a bad idea?! I really love all these pieces but if I had to choose I really love the first and the third necklaces. Getting one of them would be my Christmas wish. I am just now getting in to bolder pieces of jewelry, who knew, and with the older I get. I think these are modern, stylish, and classic at the same time. It's ok to be Christmas shopping if the stores are putting out their Christmas merchandise, right?

I'm certain there will be more from Antorpologie appearing on this years list.

Have a great day.

Pumpkin Patch Fun

We made our annual trip this weekend to our local pumpkin patch. Now when I say pumpkin patch I mean pallets of pumpkins in a field next to a church. It's what we have, and I will take what I can get, but it's not the pumpkin patches I remember from home. But it is an annual tradition or has been for 4 years and we always have a great time. We even started taking our new puppy last year.

As simple as it is, we have a good time and can usually spend an hour just running around, taking pictures, and picking the perfect pumpkin.

And we always seem to get some really great shots, lucky, maybe, but nonetheless some great memory keepers.

This year we capped our day off with a marshmallow roast in the back yard. What says fall more than pumpkins and s'mores?

These are the days that I love best!

I hope you had a great weekend.

Simple, yet stylish, Art

Do you need an idea for some quick and easy art?

I found this idea and thought it was adorable. Simple and easy. It's modern and could stand alone, but, could also be paired with some children's art in a gallery of pictures and looks so great.

Have a great day.

What I Wore Wednesday

Well. It's been a busy week. So busy I missed Wednesday.

It's early Thursday, does that count for What I Wore Wednesday.

I have been a busy baker this week so I have been wearing jeans and tees. So much baking I am sitting this morning writing this with a heating pad on my back. Hard work that baking.

Lunch with hubby
T-shirt - TJ Maxx
Jeans - TJ Maxx
Shoes - Payless

What do you think of this top? I thought it was a bit "drape" like. You know, like you would see hanging in your granny's house. But I got lots of compliments. Not sure about the fabric, but I sort of love the top.
Top - H&M Clearance
Jeans - Target
Shoes - Target

Dinner with friends. I really like this dress on and in the mirror but in this picture it makes me look sort of wide. Horizontal stripes do that though. I will have to live with that because I love the dress. It might even make an appearance tonight at the Sugarland concert!
Dress - TJ MAxx
Jeans - TJ MAxx
Sandals - Target

Feeling Black and Blue

I am loving the new blue and black look for fall this year. It's such a pretty combination and so much better than wearing all black, don't you think? I'm waiting for it to get cool enough to experiment with my clothes and recreate some of these fall looks I'm posting. Come on cooler weather.

Now I just wish I had the hair for that cute up-do!

I hope you are having a great week.

Scenes from the weekend

Hello lovely people. How was your weekend?

We had a wonderful weekend here. The weather was just beautiful. We enjoyed a lovely dinner out celebrating our little girl! Just her special day! And Sunday spent the afternoon outside with friends. A lovely weekend.

So, about the weather, I live in Florida and that comment about the beautiful weather has gotten me in trouble with my some of my family back home. In the heat of the summer we were talking about how warm it was in Kentucky (where I am from ) and I said "Yeah it's warm here too and everybody talks about how hot Florida is, but it's hot every where, the best part about Florida is that when it's crummy everywhere else it's beautiful here".

Well, the point of my telling you this story is that I was wondering how that makes those of you that live in other parts of the country feel. Is it frustrating to hear about people talking about the nice weather?

I didn't think the comment would be a big deal ,but apparently it was, and remember the comment was made in the summer. not now, when the weather in other parts of the country is starting to turn bad.

On to my post.

It's been a while since i have posted an interior decor post so today I have some great images from Lonny magazine. I love looking at this magazine for great inspiration.

I love that gallery wall incorporating the kids art, I love the sunburst mirrors in the living room and the bar area created in the entry. Really pretty

I hope you have a great Monday!!

Wimsy Fall

Have a great weekend.

Origami Owl

I found this site via Tom Kat Studio.

This is such a cute shop, the necklaces are adorable. The girl that started the business was just 14 years old. Yep 14. A great idea is a great idea and she just happened to have it.

The necklaces are lockets with charms that signify importance in your life. Each piece is completely original that you design.

You simply go to the site, pick your charms, pick your locket, pick your chain and add a hand stamped metal plate. They will create your one of a kind piece! Beautiful!

I love them and am heading to the site to see how I would create my own necklace.

Have a great day.

What I Wore Wednesday

If you are new to my blog What I Wore Wednesday is a post that I do to help me stay accountable with how I am dressing. As a stay at home mom/work at home mom it is easy to not worry with how you look. I try to put an effort in to what I am wearing each day so that I feel good about myself and so my husband likes what he sees when he comes home from work. I don't want to get in to a rut so to speak.

So here are a few of my looks for this last week.

Date night
Dress - Target
Jeans - Target
Belt - Kohl's
Purse - Gift

It rained here a lot. Rainy day wear.
Shirt - Target
Jeans - Hilfiger - TJ Maxx
Boots - Had for a long time
Jacket - Gap (old)

I'm linking up with Lindsay at the Pleated Poppy.

Enjoy your day.
