Great looks that I love from Lonny Magazine

I was looking through Lonny Magazine and fell in love with these images.




I love the first one with the four chairs and the fire pit. What a nice set up to enjoy a glass of wine on these early spring nights.

I love chalk boards in the kitchen. So great! I love that children's areas can be incorporated in to a home in a sophisticated way.

And the cube organizer has my heart going pitter patter. I am in desperate need of extra storage in my kitchen for all of my baking goodies. My husband and I were just at Ikea looking at their Expedit line of storage cabinets. They now have a massive size 73 x 73. It's this same look at a really great price, just $199.99. I wasn't sure at first if it was the look I wanted but after seeing this picture I love how this looks. I think we might have resolved our storage issue.


On another note, I have had an exciting day. My little baking business is getting some great recognition. I posted yesterday how I was asked to create some goodies for a photo shoot, well, today Granny B's clothesline gave me kudos in a posting on their Facebook page. The response has been incredible! Yippee!!!

Scenes from the weekend...

What an exciting, and busy, weekend. I was thrilled to be a part of a photo shoot for an on line girls dress site, Granny B's, and an on line party supply company, Polka Dot Market. The photographer, Melody Dowdy photography, was setting up a party scene for the models and asked me to provide some yummy baked goodies for a more "realistic" affect for the pictures.

Very exciting, as these pictures will be featured on both websites, and so will my goodies.

I did all the treats in the polka dot theme and think they turned out pretty cute.

I also did this cute tulip cake for another customer.


I need to work on my writing skill, believe it or not, that is the hardest thing about cake decorating.

Matilda Jane is an online children's clothing shop, Check out their site, and blog, for their cute clothes. They are sweet and have a vintage vibe to them as you can see from these pictures.



The setting was just beautiful!! And she made all of the balloons. How creative, right? Would be really cute for a birthday party.

Cottage Style

I love this home featured in Cottage Style Magazine this month. It's the perfect combination of cottage, rustic and simple. So pretty!









I love the combination of metals, dark woods and white accents. I tend to migrate in this direction in my own home. Not quite so rustic but I love all of these elements.

What I Wore Wednesday

Hey Wednesday- I'm ready for a great day. I am heading to the flea market with my hubby. So nice to have him home these last few weeks. The weather is beautiful and I am so happy to live in Florida.

Friday - A day of baking and running errands, then out for a casual dinner with my family

What a bad hair day, that fun growing out transition time!!! And the t-shirt. Looks so much cuter in person. It will look really cute with a pair of rolled cuff shorts I am spying at J Crew. A great nautical look.

Shoes - thrifted I don't really care for these shoes either, they will look better with jeans. This outfit will look better with a pair of strap-y wedges, I think!? I will try it out the next time I have it on.

Dress - This is a Theory dress that I found with tags on it at the flea market last week for $5.00!!!!!!!

Sandals - Old I hate how these sandals make my legs look. This dress will look so much better with flip flops. Don't ya think?

Well, that just about wraps it up. I love the little sundress that I found at the flea market. Living in Florida you just can't have too many little sundresses. Today was a hit at the flea market. I found some great country boots, a saddle bag, and a few other treasures. Will share pictures in another post.

Spring at Anthropologie

Welcome March! You bring us that much closer to Spring!

I LOVE these new pieces from Anthropologie. Oh do I love this store!!!!! It's always so refreshing when I am looking through their website and especially when I can get to their store (it's about an hour away). My heart goes pitter patter at all of the different fabrics, the colors, the flow-y cuts of dresses and tops. So fresh and girly.

I especially love these strapless dresses right now. Classic and pretty. They are pieces that can be worn for many years to come.




I adore these two tunics. I have a real fondness for stripes and would love to have this. I think both would be super cute paired with these cute shorts.



Love these sandals. Love them with any of these outfits. Love them with anything.


These earrings are perfect for any of the outfits and would be a great compliment.


And....this headband. Sweet! Just love it.


I usually look for inspiration at Anthropologie and J Crew! My two favorite stores. I don't do a lot of buying though. A piece here and there a couple of times a year unless I hit the clearance section.

Once upon a dream...

Happy Monday. Where did the weekend go. I had a wonderful weekend, the weather was spectacular, just the kind of days that you want to last forever. Light breezes, mild temperatures, not hot, not cold. Perfect!!

Speaking of perfection, take a look at these pictures. Isn't this dreamy! Ok. That's not a word I would normally use but I love these pictures. I have always wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride and these pictures makes it seem dream like. The balloon is beautiful, the dress is beautiful and the flower bag is perfect. My kind of dream!
