Happy Monday. Where did the weekend go. I had a wonderful weekend, the weather was spectacular, just the kind of days that you want to last forever. Light breezes, mild temperatures, not hot, not cold. Perfect!!
Speaking of perfection, take a look at these pictures. Isn't this dreamy! Ok. That's not a word I would normally use but I love these pictures. I have always wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride and these pictures makes it seem dream like. The balloon is beautiful, the dress is beautiful and the flower bag is perfect. My kind of dream!

Have a great day. See ya here tomorrow.

Little Miss Model
My little love modeled for a photo shoot for a popular children's clothing line called Matilda Jane. Have you ever heard of it? Well, for those of you with little girls you can't miss it. Take a look at their website at Matilda Jane Clothing. The clothes are adorable and so well suited for little girls. Anyhow, a friend of mine is a finalist, the top 50 out of 1000, for a photographers contest. My little girl modeled for her and the pictures are stunning. This is a sneak peak, pictures from my cell phone, that do not give the photos justice.
Please check out the photographers blog, Melody Dowdy Photography Blog. She is an amazing photographer and captured the sweet and innocence of these little girls. If you really like the pictures please go to Matilda Jane on Facebook and comment on Melody's entry. The photographers will be narrowed down to the top 10 for the third and final phase of the contest. If the photographer, Melody, is one of the finalists the winner will be based on public vote. If you are not interested in voting, no problem, but take a look at the pictures just for the simple beauty in them.
Now she's not a model, we have just done a few things for some friends. She thinks it's pretty fun to get dressed up and have her pictures taken.
Have a great weekend.

What I Wore Wednesday with The Pleated Poppy
It's Wednesday again! It's that time for me to share what I have been wearing. I'm linking up with Lindsay at the Pleated Poppy. Check out her cute blog.
I have decided that I have been buying too many close to help fulfill the What I Wore Wednesday challenge. Since I am such a bargain shopper I haven't spent a lot, however, I have so many clothes in my closet that I have to stop. How many tops can one person have? My plan is to wear as many things in my closet as I can with out buying anything new to post for What I Wore Wednesday. I am committing to my closet. That is after a great flea market purchase that I made today :).
Saturday night dinner with my family
Wrap - a hand made gift from my mother in law
T-shirt - Target
Skinny jeans - Target
Shoes - Dillards
Lunch with friends
Dress - Target
Sandals - Old Navy (I can say good bye to these, my dog decided today that they were her chew toy - bummer)
At home baking
Sweater - Gap
Pink ruffle tank - TJ Maxx last year
Tank - Target
Jeans - Gap Thrifted
Shoes - Dillards
The hair, all I can say is, it's growing out and when I'm baking I need it out of my eyes
Heading to the flea market
Hat- Anthropologie Great for a day when you don't feel like doing your hair and great for growing your hair out
T-shirt - Flea Market find
Jeans - Thrifted
Sandals - Old Navy
I went to the Flea and Farmers market today with my husband. I love having him home. It was a beautiful day for perusing through all of the great finds. I had a great day. I found a Theory sun dress for five dollars. It is the perfect sundress for sunny Florida days. Especially with a retail price tag of probably over $100.00. I was super excited to find it. The vendor originally was asking for $10.00 and I talked him down to $5.00. I wasn't sure if it would fit, but it does and it is super cute. Can't wait to share it with you.
Have a great Wednesday. See ya tomorrow.

Bags, Bags, Bags
I love when spring arrives and it's time to lighten the load, so to speak. I'm talking Handbags. It's the time to put away the leather and bring out some fun, whimsy, light weight bags. I found a few that I love right now.
Urban Outfitters $69.99 I love the stripe!
Anthropologie $88.00 The flower appliques are so pretty, fresh and just right for spring.
Anthropologie change purse $24.00 I can't resist little fabric bags.
Shop Ruche $68.00 Again I love the stripe canvas on this bag and love it mixed with the dark leather.
Old Navy - $17.99 Orange is my favorite color and I love all things related to the beach. So cute and nautical. I can't resist this bag.
Changing your bag is a great way to brighten your day and your outfit. It's something you can do to help yourself feel a little spring-y!
Have a great day.

Scenes from the weekend
Happy Monday. Happy Presidents Day!! How are you spending the extra day off?
We have had a beautiful weekend, not to rub it in to those of you that might live other places. Sorry :)! So happy to be able to wear flip flops.
Scenes from my weekend.
I saw this craft idea on The Pleated Poppy Blog using your children's initial and thought it was a cute idea. I have lots of scrap fabrics laying around and it was a cute way to use some up.
I cut the fabric pieces small enough so that they would fit inside the lines. I had my little one glue all of the pieces on her own and create it herself. Simple. Fun. I am going to get a white frame with white mat to frame it. I love to frame some of her artwork and crafts. Makes them feel really special and it's cute!
I have a friend who framed their kids names and placed them outside their door. I thought that was a sweet idea to make each child's room so special (Thanks Jen). This is a quick and cute way to do that. You could do an initial for each child and frame outside of their room. Plus it makes cute artwork.
Enjoy your day!

I'm feeling the blues...
Pretty blues for spring that is!
I found some cute stuff on my recent trip to Target. I love that they are coming out with their spring line of home wares and this collection is really cute. I love the blues and the pretty graphic floral design. My favorite item is the large round tray and the pitcher. I have some blue outdoor dishes and these would be great accent pieces. So cute for entertaining.
The pieces range in price from $4.99 to $29.99. Pretty affordable too!
Have a happy Thursday.

What I Wore Wednesday
Wow! It is already Wednesday! The week has flown by.
I am linking up with Lindsay at the Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday. A quick recap. I take a picture of what I am wearing and post it on her blog. Keeps me out of my sweats and accountable for how I look. So, How do I look? Sounds like that show! AH!!
I thought I took more pictures, bummer!
Top - Old Navy Love it! Bright, cheerful, daisies. Not something I would normally buy, but for $6.00 and Spring on my mind I thought it was cute
Jeans - Loft
Loafers - Old Navy
Necklace - My valentines gift from hubby by Lisa Leonard. I LOVE IT!!! It says, "You are loved". So simple and sweet! Thanks honey!
T-shirt - Kohl's
Sweater - Ann Taylor
Skinny Jeans - Tommy Hilfiger - TJ Maxx
Shoes - Old
T-shirt - Forever 21. I would love to say the "86" was the year I was born, but I'm not fooling anyone. It is significant to me, however, and thought it was cute.
Jeans - Same skinny jeans
On a side note, there was a bat on my screened in patio last night! AGH!!!!! I was outside taking the dog out, the slider to the house was open, husband recovering from hip surgery. Me "honey, please close the door to the patio there is a bat on the patio". Husband "A WHAT???. Me "yeah a bat". I had to have him get up on his cane and close the door. Then I was stuck outside. The only thing to do was to open the patio door. I crouched down with the dog and hoped it did not fly in my hair.
Luckily it wanted out as bad as I wanted it out. CREEPY!!! Since my husband has been laid up I have chased a snake out of my garage, discarded a dead mole on my patio and released a bat flying on my screened patio. I think I am being tested.
Have a great Wednesday and don't for get to heck out Lindsay's cute blog, ThePleatedPoppy.com.

Beautiful Home - Look Linger Love Blogspot
I discovered this blog one night while reading some new blogs. You know how it goes, you start on one, then click on a link to another and so on and so on. I follow so many and really need to pare it down, but I really love this new one to me called Look Linger Love. I especially love the home of the writer. Her name is Chassity and she has great style. Plus, she lives in Charleston and that is one of my favorite places ever.
Take a look at her home.....
Love love that nursery. Click on the title above to take you to her cute blog.

What I Wore Wednesday with The Pleated Poppy
Whew! I have finally sat down for the first time tonight. I have my daughter in her bed, the puppy is sleeping, American Idol is on the TV and I am resting!
I am linking in with Lindsay at the Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday. In case you aren't familiar, I am taking pictures of what I wear each day and posting it on to the Pleated Poppy. Lindsay come up with the idea to get her out of her sweats and to hold herself, and readers, accountable for how they present themselves. Check out her cute blog at the PleatedPoppy.com.

Field Trip to the Zoo
T-shirt - TJ Maxx
Jacket - Old Navy ( a few years ago )
Jeans - LOFT
Shoes - TOMS
Runny hubby to doctor
Sweater - Target
T-shirt - Target
Scarf - World Market
Jeans- NY & Company
Shoes - Old Navy
Running errands
Sweater - Old Navy
T-Shirt - JCrew
Skinny Jeans - Target
Riding Boots - (old)
This is one of those outfits where I don't want to take a picture. The pants are so comfortable and the shirt is just cute, or so I think, when putting it on. All together, looks a bit baggy, but comfortable and I guess better than sweats.
Shirt w/vest - Target
Boyfriend pants - JCrew
Tennies - Walmart
This last outfit was today, casual, and comfortable while nursing my sick little one. I did go out to run a few errands too. I made it to Target today and found this cute bracelet on clearance only $5.98. Not a great picture but wanted to share it!
T-shirt - Kohl's
Sweater- Old Navy
Jeans - LOFT
Bracelet - Target
I have to admit, doing this sometimes makes it harder to get dressed because I wonder how each outfit is going to look on camera. Some days I just want to put on a top and jeans and not worry with anything else. Secretly, I still do this, but there are times that I think I should be putting in more effort. I do my best. This week has been a lot of staying in. I am nursing, now two patients, back to health so not a lot of reason to get dressed. I have made many trips to the grocery store which is enough incentive to get out of the sweats and pj's.
That's it. I'm back in the swing of things! Have a great rest of your week.

A Little RED dress...
I am not usually drawn to red, but I love this little red dress. It's so chic. Simple. Classic. And just the perfect little dress for Valentines day. I love the little pocket detail and the cute belt. And I think it looks perfect paired with the cute stripe tote. I Love it!!
It's by Emerson Made and can be found on their site Emersonmade.com. While a bit pricey, I am thinking to buy only good quality pieces, timeless in style, that will last a long time. With that in mind it's worth the price.
If it's still too pricey for you, I found this cute dress at Target that is similar and gives the same classic look with a substantially lower price tag. It's a mere $39.99. You could change out the belt to give it a different look or leave as is. Really cute!
How about you, do you like to wear red?
