I'm popping in for a quick post. I am done with work and ready to enjoy some great family time for the holidays.
It's Wednesday again, time for What I Wore Wednesday with the Pleated Poppy. This has become such a habit for me that I didn't want to miss this week. I only have a few pictures to share....a sign of busy times.
Delivering Christmas goodies
Sweater - 10 yrs Old - Ralph Lauren
Top - Ann Taylor
Jeans - LOFT
Shoes - Old
Lunch with friends and a visit to the park
Sweater - Old Navy
Tunic- Kohl's
Leggings - Target
Shoes - Dillard's
Christmas party with hubby
Dress - Anthropologie ( I love this dress and got it a great Anthro bargain $59.99)
Riding boots - Several years old
I'm exhausted. A good exhausted. I enjoyed these few days that I "dressed" for the day. Business was good and I am so thankful. It's a good start to my little baking business and I hope that things continue.
I am looking forward to a family dinner out tomorrow night, Christmas Eve service followed by hot chocolate, sprinkling reindeer dust and putting cookies out for Santa, and seeing the joy in my little girls eyes come Christmas morning. It's so good being a mom.
A proud momma moment....when my daughter during prayers, says "thank you for December, God, because it's Jesus' birthday, that's the real meaning of Christmas". So happy that she knows the true meaning of Christmas
Have a great holiday.

Christmas treat
This is a fun treat to do with little ones to give to their little friends for Christmas! It's so easy but has a huge impact with the kiddos.
Marshmallow Lollipops
So easy.
You'll need
lollipop sticks.
Large Marshmallows
Chocolate - I use Baker's Dipping Chocolate - It's clean and simple to use
Sprinkles
Wax paper or parchment paper
Treat bags and ribbon
Melt the chocolate in the microwave
Insert sticks into marshmallows
Dip in the Chocolate
Sprinkle on the sprinkles
Maybe a few more sprinkles
Set dipped lollipops on a wax paper lined cookie sheet or tray
Refrigerate to chill and harden the chocolate
Wrap in treat bags, tie with ribbon, and add a gift tag
So fun, Right? Now you have a sweet homemade gift to give.
Have a great day!

Christmas Fun
Looking for a fun Christmas craft to do with your little. Check these out. I found this on Martha Stewart.com and thought it was adorable. I'm definitely going to try to fit it in with my little lady.
All you have to do is gather some cookie cutters. You can find great cookie cutters at vintage and consignment stores and flea markets. Then find some cute scrap booking papers at your local craft store. You can also use photos which is an adorable way to "frame" a photo. Trace the shapes on to the papers and cut them out. Glue with regular Elmer's glue and let dry over night. Then tie with your favorite string or ribbon and hang from your tree.
Adorable.
Some other fun ideas for a kids this Christmas.
I love this vintage bead garland and am hoping it will go on sale and I can get it for next years tree. The smock and tote bag are made out of oil cloth to withstand all sorts of fun crafty messes. The little knit booties are so sweet and would make a great gift for someone with a new baby. And I simply can't resist the vintage santa. So SWEET.
These were all found at Chasing Fireflies.com
I hope your season is bright.

Things that I have been up to
I have a little baking business out of my home and I have been really busy!! YAY!! Here are a few pictures of some cookies I did for a customer. These were for a Christmas ornament bridal shower.
And each day I am trying to do something, fun and festive, to count down the days until Christmas with my little one. Here are a few of our little projects.
This advent calendar is from Happy Thought on Etsy. I just love it! It's a fun way to help us count down the days.
These are hand stamped ornaments on burlap. I had this little tree and thought it needed something. I love the texture and natural look that burlap has and thought this would add a simple element to the rest of our Christmas decor.
I still haven't started shopping aside from a few things on line. Having a lot of fun enjoying the season though!!
Have a great day.
