Kentucky Derby Style

The weekend is here. It's the first weekend of may and there is so much happening. Tomorrow is the Kentucky Derby and Sunday is Mother's Day. It's always a busy and fun weekend this first weekend in May.

I am always nostalgic this time of year. I love the Kentucky Derby and the tradition it stands on. I haven't been in years, but plan to go back and enjoy the festivities some time in the next couple of years.

Here is a bit of what happens in Kentucky for the Derby! It truly is a grand event.

It's a great time!! We will be having a small party of three at home full of Kentucky tradition. We always watch the race and pick our favorite horse to win. And I'll be serving up traditional Kentucky fare, Hot Browns and homemade derby pie! YUM!!!
