I have been looking for a striped tote style bag since I posted this pic
Well, I found this one
at Ikea.
Yeah, that's right Ikea. Cute, huh?
In my search online I also came across these cute purses. I like all of these but I love to carry tote bags as purses. They are so roomy.

A pretty picture and A few thoughts......
Just a few thoughts on my mind....
It is not a good feeling to be having drinks with someone who was born the year you graduated high school....
Enjoy every phase of life that you are in because one day you are going to look back and think "wow, those were some great times".....
But, don't look back and wish you were somewhere in your past, remember the good times and be happy with who you are now....
It's ok to buy things at a deal, you don't have to have name brand or buy from expensive stores, be creative.....
If you tend to buy "the good stuff" USE IT for goodness sake, don't save it for a special occasion.....
From someone who went through YEARS of infertility and extensive fertility treatments and still wasn't able to conceive;
EVERY baby, or two or three, IS a MIRACLE!!!!
Lastly,
Adoption, a gift from God, is a blessed event!
Have a great day.

From the weekend
Hi there Monday! You sure are gloomy!
How was your weekend? We had beautiful weather here and tried to enjoy it as much as we could as it is suppose to rain all week. I am not complaining though, I get to wear my rain boots, wear cute jackets and enjoy a little bit of spring. Plus, it's going to help my flowers grow not to mention put a damper on all of the wild fires we are already having to battle with here. Spring showers are always welcome.
We did a little home interior project this weekend. We wanted to add some storage in our breakfast room off of the kitchen so we were off to Ikea for some ideas. I was inspired by this picture that I posted a few weeks ago.
We put our spin on things and decorated it with a coastal feel as is the rest of our home.
This is the before
Here is how it looks.
Then today I was at Target and I found these
Now we need a new light fixture.
We are thinking this
or this.....
What do you think?

Fashion Friday
I LOVE this maxi dress from Forever XI. It's cute, looks comfy, and it's stripes! And best of all it's $12.90. I don't know how but it is. So cute.
What do you think? Do you like the maxi dress? I'm a bit on the shorter side at 5'4". I think they may make me looks shorter unless paired with some really great wedges like these
And for a final touch I like it with this bracelet
A cute weekend outfit for under $50.00.
What will you be wearing this weekend?

What I Wore Wednesday
It's Wednesday! and I am posting about What I Wore Wednesday and a few other days in the week. I'm linking in with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy again. Check out her site for some great fashion ideas.
I am in Spring mode. We have actually flown right past Spring in to Summer here in Central Florida. I think it was in the upper 80's here today. Time for cute dresses, shorts and tank tops. So ready!
Sunday Going to Church
Top - TJ Maxx
White Pants - These are old and I can't remember where I bought them
Shoes - Target
Starfish Necklace - Flea Market
Monday Running errands and things around the house
Sweater - Flea Market
Top - Anthropologie
Jeans - Loft
Shoes - Old Navy
Tuesday, I'm not sure what I did this day.
Dress - local boutique
Shoes - Old Navy
I am thinking this dress could go this way - a little western and thought I would try it on with these boots that I found at the flea market for $15.00. I'm not a country sort of dresser but I love the look of these.
Wednesday
Okay, I'm not usually a short wearer either, but it was supposed to be warm here today and I was heading to the flea market. You have just got to do what you have to do. This is a big deal for me to post this pic on here today, but it's what I wore.
Tank - Target
Cardigan - J Crew
Shorts - Kohl's LC
Toms - Thrifted
So, I posted a few months ago about my hair. Yeah, my hair is a big deal to me. I love a great cut! But I have decided to let it grow. I'm doing pretty good, so far, but, it's starting to get in to the length that I do not like. Just not a good look for me. Here is what is on my mind about hair these days.
What I have now....
What I did have....
What I love.....
What I am working towards.....Not that this is exactly the style I am going for, but I am growing it out.
Hmmmmm, What do you think?
Have a great day!

One Sydney Road - shop
Happy Tuesday! Where did Monday go? I feel like it was a blur and I woke up to Tuesday. I hope you had a great weekend. I had a fun family weekend. We went to a great art fair. More for the weather, people, food, and atmosphere than art. At this particular art fair the art can run in to the thousands and I don't really have an eye for it. We also enjoyed a nice dinner al fresco. Taking advantage of those mild nights. I'm not sure what happened yesterday, lots of errand running and "stuff" and the day just got away from me.
Well, not a total waste. I did come across this new on-line shop called One Sydney Road. They have some great things.
Check out the pictures below. I love the print! Oh, I love to be by the seaside!
Some of their items are a bit pricey. But I love the simple look. Great inspiration.
Just click on the title of this post and it will take you right to their shop.
Have a great Tuesday.

Fashion Friday
I found these great items on Target.com. Such cute looks for the beginning of Spring which is on Sunday!! Yippee!! So excited. Though it's been mild here for a while, I'm always happy to see the official start to spring. It's time to plant flowers, pull out dresses and strap-y sandals and for dining outside. We have such a short window to eat outdoors as it gets hot quick down here. No complaints though, we just know how to use our nice days wisely.
Back to today's fashion finds. I subscribe to Targets Daily deals. It's a great deal. They send you an email with the days item and you have until midnight to purchase, and the item ships for free! It's a win win. Todays item are there great shoes
They are only....drum role, please, $15.00. And Target is running a special right now where you can get a second pair of shoes for 50% off.
I think they would look great paired with any of these dresses
Also at Target.
I have the striped dress, posted on Wednesday, I also really love the navy halter dress. Really Cute.
Be sure to check out their GO International line. They have several designers that have created a line of clothes over the years, they were all brought together for a spring dress line. In stores now.
Have a great Friday and Weekend. See ya back here on Monday.

What I wore Wednesday
Hi Wednesday! Hi Beautiful weather! Hi What I Wore Wednesday!
I have only one picture to share with you for What I Wore Wednesday, it's actually what I wore on Monday. The weekend was spent away and I didn't remember to take pictures, though there are a few on a previous post from our getaway. Today I went to the farmer's market with hat, jeans and t-shirt, wasn't feeling like much more than that. I was up late last night working on a cookie order and was a bit tired this morning. Ho-Hum!!
I'm hooking up with Lindsay at the Pleated Poppy Blog again. Be sure to check out her blog for great fashion inspiration. There are some really fashionable ladies out there.
I love, LOVE this dress. It's from Target. If you have read past posts you already know that I LOVE stripes. I am just drawn to them. I don't know if it's the nautical beach-y vibe or another reason, but I am drawn to them. I am not a big pattern person in my wardrobe, save from a few tops here and there, but I probably have a dozen striped items. Can't get enough.
I look like I have a third leg in this picture, cute huh? It's my daughter trying to get in on the action.
The dress - Target - $20.00
Jacket - Lilly Pulitzer from TJ Maxx - years ago
Flip Flops - Old Navy - $10.00.
Happy Wednesday to you!

Polka Dot Market
Are you doing any party planning soon?
I love this company for party planning goods. They have everything from balloons, table cloths and adorable pennant banners.
Most everything is themed after polka dots, however they also offer other items. They even have co-ordinating dresses for your little girl. How sweet is that? A completely co-ordinated party! They take all of the guess work out of creating the perfect party.
Check out the blog and the shop by clicking on the title above.
And if you live local, I do baked goodies that could also co-ordinate. Check out their pennant banner picture on their site and those are my goodies. Go to Decorations, Banners, Fabric Bunting - Custom colors , and those are my goodies in the pictures!

Scenes from the weekend and MIA
I have been MIA lately. I didn't mean to be. My hubby was on his last week off of work due to his surgery, and while he was still recovering, we were able to spend some one on one time together. We spent a few mornings at the beach just relaxing and enjoyed spending time over lunch a few days. We then began spring break for my little one spending a few days at Disney World.
My hubby is back to work and my little one is home this week. A fun trade off though I already miss my hubby! I am excited to spend some mommy with my little one.
Here are a few pictures from our weekend at Disney. It is the 18th Annual Flower and Garden show. It's a beautiful time to go. Disney really knows how to grow a garden.
I hope you had a great weekend.
