I forgot to mention my GREAT find in my previous post. I looked it up, and it's not worth much, but certainly more than the $3.00 I paid for it. SCORE!!!! The painting is an enamel painting, on copper, by Louis Cardin. It's one of a series of paintings that he did of children in landscapes. I originally went over to take a picture of it to share on this blog, and the more I looked at it, the more I fell in LOVE! I asked the vendor owner how much and when he looked it didn't have a tag. I just knew he was going to say $20.00, he jokingly said "it looks like it's free" then said "how about $3.00". Can you say SOLD! I was so excited.
I also saw this vintage, pink, KitchenAid mixer. I loved it too, but don't have room for anything else kitchen appliance related.
The last picture is of estate jewelry. It's so pretty and interesting and I often think about the type of people that would have worn it. Some of the pieces looked pretty old.
It is so much fun to find a one of a kind, non mass-marketed piece. It brings interest and character to your decor.
It's simply one of my favorite things.
